4K streaming on selected content is available for Kayo Premium subscribers.
To watch Kayo in 4K, you’ll need:
- A Kayo Premium subscription
- A device that is compatible with Kayo, and supported for 4K viewing on Kayo
- A steady broadband speed of at least 25Mbps
- To ensure the content you’ve selected is available in 4K.
1. Which Kayo compatible devices support 4K?
4K streaming on Kayo will be progressively rolled out to the below devices. This list will be updated once devices become available:

Note: If your device is not mentioned above, it is not supported for 4K streaming on Kayo.
2. What broadband speed is required to stream 4K on Kayo?
You’ll need a minimum broadband speed of 25Mbps to stream 4K on Kayo. To check this, you can run a speed test online to measure the connection speed and quality of your broadband.
Note: Your broadband speed can be affected by multiple devices connected to the internet at the same time.
3. How do I update the video resolution to 4K?
Provided the game you’re watching is available in 4K on Kayo, if you’re on a Premium subscription and are using a device that is compatible with Kayo, and supported for 4K viewing on Kayo, the video resolution should default to 4K.
You can adjust the video resolution through Settings:
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Quality Control.
- Select Up to 4K.
If you’d prefer to keep streaming in HD or SD, you can choose Up to HD or SD Only.
4. How will I know if I'm watching in 4K?
If you have everything you need to watch Kayo in 4K, when you select a title that’s available in 4K, you should see a “LIVE 4K” badge on the program information/synopsis screen. The "LIVE 4K" badge on the program/synopsis screen is the key indicator to know you’re viewing in 4K.
