1. Is my Hisense Smart TV compatible with Kayo?
Kayo is compatible with selected 2019 or later Hisense Smart TV models using VIDAA U3-U7 software.
Note: Support for Hisense TV U2.5 devices is coming to an end. For a full list of our compatible devices, click here.
If you need to find your TV's model number, check the barcode on the back of the TV. Alternatively, you can contact Hisense support to confirm your TV model.
To confirm what software your TV is running, follow these steps:
- Using your remote, visit 'Settings'.
- Navigate to 'About TV / Support'.
- Then select 'Software upgrade', here you will be able to view your software version and check for potential firmware upgrades.
Can’t see the Kayo app on your TV?
If you can't find the Kayo app, it's still in the process of being rolled out by Hisense. To access Kayo earlier you can contact Hisense Customer Service on 1800 447 367.
Hisense TVs running VIDAA U2.5 software is currently NOT compatible with Kayo.
2. How do I download the Kayo app on my Hisense Smart TV?
To download the Kayo app on your Hisense Smart TV, simply follow these steps:
- From the home screen and select the ‘App Store' icon
- Search ‘Kayo Sports’
- Select the Kayo Sports app and select ‘Install’
- Once the app has finished installing, select ‘Sign In’ and follow the prompts to activate your device
Note: Currently, you cannot sign up to Kayo using Hisense Smart TV. You must already have an active subscription to use Kayo on this device.
3. Can I subscribe to Kayo via Hisense Smart TV?
The sign up process isn't supported on Hisense Smart TV at this stage. You will need to first subscribe to Kayo via a web browser: www.kayosports.com.au/hisense

4. How do I watch Kayo on my Hisense Smart TV?
Firstly, you'll need to have the Kayo app downloaded as well as an active Kayo subscription to watch on your Hisense Smart TV.
To stream Kayo simply follow these steps:
- Navigate to the ‘Apps’ carousel on your Hisense Smart TV
- In ‘Apps’ scroll to Kayo
- Open the Kayo app and select ‘Sign In’
- Use your smartphone or tablet to scan the QR code displayed on your TV and select the pop-up that appears
- Your 8 digit code will be pre-populated, select confirm
- You may be asked to enter your login credentials, then your TV will login
- Select the program you want to watch then kick back and relax!
5. How do I adjust the video quality on my Hisense Smart TV?
Hisense Smart TV has a Sports mode sometimes called ‘Football’ in the picture setting. This means this setting provides an optimised viewing when streaming live sports.
To enable the Sport/Football picture setting, follow the steps below:
- Go to the ‘Settings’ tile on the home page
- Select the ‘Picture’ tile
- Select ‘Picture mode’ tile
- Select ‘Football’ time
- Once updated, you can select the home icon on your remote control to go back to the homepage.
6. Which Kayo features can I use on my Hisense Smart TV?
Most of Kayo’s game-changing features are available on your compatible Hisense Smart TV however the following are currently not available:
Search
The Search function is currently not available on Hisense Smart TVs. Simply use your remote to navigate our carousels to watch your favourite sport.
SplitView
The SplitView feature is not supported on Hisense Smart TVs. You will be able to stream using the standard view (1 screen).
Fixtures
The Fixtures feature is not available on Hisense Smart TVs this means you will not see ‘Odds’ available either.
Interactive Stats
The ‘Interactive Stats' are not currently available on Hisense TVs, we are working to make this feature available soon.
7. Is 4K available on Hisense TV?
Selected 4K content is available for customers on a Premium subscription with a 2020-2023 4K Hisense TV model running VIDAA U5 and above*.

8. What if I'm having trouble streaming on my Hisense Smart TV?
We recommend following the below troubleshooting steps if you're having issues streaming:
1. Reboot the device
- Turn off the TV using the remote.
- Turn off the TV at the power point, and unplug the power cord.
- Wait up to 2 minutes, then replug the power cord and turn the TV on with the remote.
2. Reboot the WiFi router and run a speed test
- Turn the WiFi router off, and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait 30 seconds, then plug the router back in.
- Switch the router back on (this can take about a minute).
- Try connecting to the internet again.
It's also worth running a speed test to ensure your internet connection is stable. We recommend an internet speed of at least 7.5Mpbs to stream.
3. Clear the cache on your TV
Cache is a software or hardware used to temporarily store information and data. When cache builds up and is not cleared, it can affect streaming performance. To clear the cache:
- Press the 'Home' button on your Hisense TV remote.
- Select 'Network'.
- Select 'Clear Internet Memory'.
4. Ensure the TV system is up to date
- Go to 'Settings', then navigate to the 'Support' option.
- Scroll down to System Update.
- Click Check Firmware Update.
- If the TV detects a new update, it will install automatically.
5. Ensure you're using a compatible device
