Kayo is a geo-location based service which means it's only available within Australia and can't be viewed if you're on a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
Due to the licensing agreements we have for content on Kayo, we have to ensure all users are within Australia only. If you're using a VPN we can't tell where you're based.
This means if you are using a VPN you will not be able to use Kayo and you will see the error message below:
If you receive this error message and are located in Australia, please disable your VPN using the steps below:
Disabling your VPN:
Disabling your VPN if you choose to do so is pretty straightforward, but will vary depending on the device you're using. Don't worry, though. We've got you covered.
iOS
- Open Settings on your iOS device
- Tap General
- Tap VPN
- Tap on Delete Profile
- Tap Delete again to confirm you want to remove the VPN
- Restart your iOS device for the process to be complete
Android
- Open Settings on your Android Device
- Tap on Connections
- Tap on More Connection Settings
- Select the VPN you wish to remove
- Tap Delete and apply the changes by tapping OK
Mac
- Open your System Preferences
- Select the Network control panel
- Click on Network Port Configurations in the show menu
- Delete the VPN Connection and click Apply Now
- Accept the change and restart your Mac for the process to be complete
PC
- Open the Control Panel via the Start menu
- Open Network Connections
- You will see the list of VPN connections set up on your computer in a new window
- Select the VPN service you want to disable by highlighting it's icon
- Click on the "Change settings of this connection" link in the Network Tasks list
- Go to the Networking tab at the top of the window and click Uninstall
- Press Yes to confirm to disable the VPN
