1. How do I set up my Chromecast?
For the optimal streaming experience, we recommend Chromecast Ultra models or later (including Chromecast with Google and Chromecast 3rd Generation) and similar capability Android TVs.
Note: Chromecast 1st Generation is no longer supported by Kayo.
Ensure you're casting Kayo from recommended Chromecast versions and if from a browser, the latest version of the Chrome web browser.
To set up Chromecast:
- Connect the USB power cable to your Chromecast
- Plug the Chromecast into your TV using an HDMI port
- Plug in the power supply
- Connect your Chromecast device to the same Wi-FI network that your device is connected to
- Download the Google Home App on your iOS or Android device to control your Chromecast
- If you're using a Mac or PC, make sure you have the latest version of Google Chrome downloaded. You can only cast using a Chrome browser.
After you've set up your Chromecast, follow these steps depending on your casting device:
- Log in to Kayo on your iOS device
- Select the
icon which will be at the top of each page in the Kayo app
- Find and select the fixture or program you would like to watch
- Tap the device you wish to cast to, sit back and enjoy the action on the big screen!
- You'll be able to close the Kayo app and continue casting (so you can keep using your phone)
- Note: You can control what's playing on Kayo from outside the app with a menu bar controller. You can also end the stream from here.
- You can also start playing a fixture or program from within the video player itself.
- Log in to Kayo on your Android device
- Select the
icon which will be at the top of each page in the Kayo app
- Find and select the fixture or program you would like to watch
- Tap the device you wish to cast to, sit back and enjoy the action on the big screen!
- You'll be able to close the Kayo app and continue casting.
- Note: You can control what's playing on Kayo from outside the app via the notification panel on your device. You can also end the stream from here.
- You can also start playing a fixture or program from within the video player itself.

- Ensure you're on a Chrome browser. Check you have the latest version of Google Chrome downloaded
- Log in to Kayo on your Mac or PC
- Select the
icon which will be at the top of each page in the Kayo app
- Find and select the fixture or program you would like to watch
- Tap the device you wish to cast to, sit back and enjoy the action on the big screen!
- Select 'Apps' from the top navigational menu
- Select 'Search for apps' and search for Kayo
- Select the Kayo Sports app and select 'Install'
- Enter your existing Kayo Sports credentials
- Select the fixture or program you would like to watch then sit back and enjoy the action on the big screen!
2. Is 4K available on Chromecast?
Selected 4K Kayo content is only available for customers on a Premium subscription when using the Chromecast model "Chromecast with Google TV 4K", with a 4K-enabled TV. A broadband speed of at least 25Mbps is required to stream in 4K.
Note: Other Chromecast models are not compatible with 4K viewing on Kayo.

3. What if I'm having issues streaming with my Chromecast?
We recommend following the below troubleshooting steps if you're having issues streaming:
1. Ensure your mobile device and Chromecast are on the same WiFi network
Chromecast with Google TV
- At the top-right of your TV screen, select the account icon.
- Select Settings, then Network & Internet.
Other Chromecast:
- On your mobile device, open the Google Home app.
- Touch and hold your Chromecast's tile, then select Settings.
- Select Device Information, then Wi-Fi.
2. Reboot the Chromecast
- Unplug the power cable from the Chromecast device.
- Leave it unplugged for one minute.
- Plug the power cable back in.
Note: When you unplug the Chromecast from the TV’s HDMI port, it does not reboot the device. It must be disconnected from the power source in order to reboot.
3. Perform a factory reset
Chromecast with Google TV
- At the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile then select Settings.
- Select System, then About, then Factory Reset.
Other Chromecast:
Note: This option is only available if you still have access to the network that your Chromecast was set up on.
- Open the Google Home app..
- Touch and hold your device's tile.
- At the top right, tap Settings, then More, then Factory reset.
