Cache is a software or hardware used to temporarily store information and data. When cache builds up, it can affect streaming performance so clearing it can resolve most issues.
For step-by-step instructions on how to clear the cache, please select your device from the list below:

Web browser
Google Chrome
Mac:
- Select the three vertical dots to open the Chrome menu from the top-right of your browser.
- Select More Tools, then Clear browsing data.
PC:
- Select the three vertical dots to open Chrome menu from the top-right of your browser.
- Select Delete browsing data, then under "Basic" select Cached images and files.
- Select Delete data.
Safari
- Click on the Safari menu in the top left-hand corner next to the Apple symbol.
- Click on Settings.
- A new dialogue box will open, click Privacy.
- Click on the Manage Website Data button.
- To remove any cached data and cookies from your computer, click Remove all.
- A new dialogue box will open, click Remove Now.
- Wait a few moments, then click Done.
Firefox
Mac:
- With Firefox open, click the hamburger menu in the top-right and select Settings.
- Click Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to the Cookies & Site Data section and click Clear Data.
- Uncheck the box for Cookies and Site Data and click Clear.
PC:
- Click on the Firefox menu (three lines) in the top right-hand corner.
- Click on Settings.
- On the left-hand side, click Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data, then click Clear data.
- A new dialogue box will open, click Clear Now and wait for the dialogue box to exit.
Microsoft Edge
- Click on the Firefox menu (three lines) in the top right-hand corner.
- Click on Settings.
- On the left-hand side, click Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data, then click Clear data.
- A new dialogue box will open, click Clear Now and wait for the dialogue box to exit.
iOS iPhone/iPad
Clearing the cache on an iOS device is a little different to clearing it on other devices. Rather then clearing the cache, you'll need to delete and re-install the app instead. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Hold down on the Kayo app until a menu pops up.
- Press Remove App.
- Press Delete App.
- Head back to the App Store and re-download the app.
Apple TV
- On the Apple TV home screen, navigate to the Kayo app.
- Press and hold the clickpad or touch surface on your remote.
- Select Delete App, then select Delete.
- Open the App Store and browse or search for the Kayo app.
- Select the Get button.
Android mobile/tablet
- Open Settings, then go to Apps.
- Select the Kayo app.
- Tap Storage & cache or Storage.
- Tap Clear cache.
Android TV or Google TV
- From the home screen, navigate to the Gmail icon and select it.
- On the Google TV screen, go to Screen.
- Select Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select See all apps.
- Scroll down to the Kayo app, then select Clear Data or Clear Cache.
Samsung TV
- Tap the Home button on your Samsung Smart TV remote control.
- Go to Settings.
- Go to All Settings.
- Choose Support and then Device Care.
- Select Manage Storage.
- Choose the Kayo app and then View Details.
- Select Clear Cache.
Hisense TV
- Go to Settings.
- Click on System and select Application Settings.
- Click Clear Cache.
- Click Clear.
LG TV
- Press the Home button on your remote.
- Go to Settings, then General, then Storage.
- Select Clear Cache.
PlayStation
PlayStation 4:- Power your PlayStation off. The PlayStation needs to be completely powered off in order to clear the cache.
- Power your PlayStation back on.
- Select the Kayo app.
- Press and hold L1 + R1 for three seconds.
PlayStation 5:
- Power your PlayStation off. The PlayStation needs to be completely powered off in order to clear the cache.
- Boot the PlayStation 5 into safe mode by holding the power button until it beeps twice.
- Connect your controller, then press the PS button.
- Select Clear Cache and Rebuild Database.
- Select Clear System Software Cache..
- Select OK.
Chromecast
- Navigate to your profile icon, select Settings.
- Select System, then Storage, then Internal shared storage, then Cached data.
- Select OK to clear cached data.
Amazon Fire TV Stick
- Go to Settings.
- Select Applications.
- In Manage Installed Applications, select the Kayo app.
- Select Clear Cache, and then Clear Data.
