1. How do I download the Kayo app on my Sony BRAVIA TV?
You'll find the Kayo app ready to go now on your Sony BRAVIA homepage, so you won't need to download it from the Google Play Store. If you try downloading the Kayo app from the Play Store, it will tell you it is already installed.
Can't see the Kayo app on your homepage? You'll need to update the Sony BRAVIA TV software instead. Refer to your TV manual for how to do this.
2. How do I access Kayo?
You will need to ensure you have an active Kayo subscription. If you need to subscribe, head to Kayo on your phone or web browser. Currently, you aren't able to subscribe to Kayo via your Sony BRAVIA TV.
Once you've subscribed, you can access the Kayo app from the Sony BRAVIA homepage. Just select the Kayo app, log into your account and start streaming!
3. Can I use SplitView on my Sony BRAVIA TV?
Due to the hardware specifications on Sony BRAVIA TVs, SplitView is only available on Sony BRAVIA 2019 models. Other Sony BRAVIA models only supports the standard view (1 screen). For more information on why SplitView isn't available on some Android TV's, check out this article.
4. Why can't I access Kayo on my Sony BRAVIA TV?
There are a few reasons why you might not be able to access Kayo on your Sony BRAVIA:
- Make sure you've updated the software on your Sony BRAVIA device.
- The Kayo app is only available on selected Sony BRAVIAs from 2017 onwards. If you have an older model Sony BRAVIA, Kayo will not be available.
5. Is 4K available on Sony BRAVIA?
Selected 4K content is available for customers on a Premium subscription with 4K-supported Sony TVs running Android OS version 8.0+. A broadband speed of at least 25Mbps is required to stream in 4K.

6. What if I'm having trouble streaming on my Sony Bravia TV?
We recommend following the below troubleshooting steps if you're having issues streaming:
1. Reboot the device
- Turn off the TV using the remote.
- Turn off the TV at the power point, and unplug the power cord.
- Wait up to 2 minutes, then replug the power cord and turn the TV on with the remote.
2. Reboot the WiFi router and run a speed test
- Turn the WiFi router off, and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait 30 seconds, then plug the router back in
- Switch the router back on (this can take about a minute).
- Try connecting to the internet again.
It's also worth running a speed test to ensure your internet connection is stable. We recommend an internet speed of at least 7.5Mpbs to stream.
3. Clear the cache on your TV
Cache is a software or hardware used to temporarily store information and data. When cache builds up and is not cleared, it can affect streaming performance.
- On your remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Settings.
- The next steps depend on your TV menu options: Select Apps, then See all apps, then Show system apps.
- Under System apps, select Kayo Sports.
- Select Clear cache, and then select OK.
- Select Clear data, and then select OK.
4. Ensure the TV system is up to date
- From the home screen, select Settings.
- Select About, then System Software Update, then Software Update.
- Install any available updated, then try to stream again.
5. Ensure you're using a compatible device
Kayo is compatible with 2017 or later Sony Bravia TVs. Please ensure you're streaming via a compatible model.
