8. What if I'm having trouble streaming on my PlayStation?
We recommend following the below troubleshooting steps if you're having issues streaming:
1. Reboot the device
Note: This will force the console to shut down, and you'll lose any unsaved data.
PlayStation 4
- Hold down the PS button and choose Power, then Restart PS4.
To reboot the console without a controller, press the Power button for seven seconds. Press the same button once to turn the back console on.
PlayStation 5
- Press and hold the Power button on the front of the console. Keep it held down for several seconds until you hear a beep.
- To restart the PS5, simply press the power button again, and it should start up normally.
2. Reboot the WiFi router and run a speed test
- Turn the WiFi router off, and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait 30 seconds, then plug the router back in
- Switch the router back on (this can take about a minute).
- Try connecting to the internet again.
It's also worth running a speed test to ensure your internet connection is stable. We recommend an internet speed of at least 7.5Mpbs to stream.
3. Clear the cache on your device
- Turn off your PlayStation (entering rest mode will not clear its cache).
- While the PlayStation is shutting down, its indicator light will blink - wait until it stops blinking.
- Disconnect the PlayStation's power cord from the back of the console. Don’t simply unplug the cord from the wall – it needs to be disconnected from the PlayStation itself to clear the cache.
- Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug the cord back into the PlayStation.
